Connect WhatsApp and control replies
Pair the account, understand private and group reply safeguards, and verify the real message journey.
Pair your WhatsApp account
- Open Config and the WhatsApp connection panel.
- Start pairing. Use the displayed QR flow or another pairing method offered by the current interface.
- For QR pairing, open WhatsApp on the account’s phone, go to Linked devices, and scan the code.
- Wait for Connected, then confirm the account identity. Refresh status if the result has not updated.
- Publish the validated project when ready. Send a new message from another account and verify the response.
Linking an account is a connection step. It does not send a greeting, replay message history, or prove the bot’s features work. Incoming messages use the project’s active published version, so an unpublished edit will not change what a customer receives.
If pairing or replies stop
Use current connection status to distinguish a pending pairing session, disconnection, paused hosting, and a code problem. A code edit will not fix a missing linked-device authorization. Reconnect through Config if required. For a connected but silent bot, check the published version, reply policy, test numbers, and group permissions before requesting a repair.
Disconnect or move a WhatsApp account
Use Disconnect in the WhatsApp panel to stop this project’s session and clear its saved pairing credentials. Pair again to reconnect. If you need to confirm that device access has ended, review Linked devices in WhatsApp on your phone.
To reuse an account connected to another bot you own, use Move connection where offered. Review the source bot and the handover before confirming. A move transfers the connection; it does not create a second simultaneous connection.
Keep credits available for your WhatsApp bot
A WhatsApp session connects your account to the bot. Pairing itself has no separate flat fee. The bot’s hosting and any paid AI or tools used in its conversations are charged from your CookMyBots wallet. A connected session does not include unlimited use of those services.
If available funds run out or your net balance is negative, new paid AI and service requests are blocked. The session can still appear connected while a paid feature is unavailable. Hosting follows its separate 48-hour payment grace period. Review Billing and the bot’s current hosting status before reconnecting the account.
